Volunteer Opportunities
There are many opportunities to volunteer with the City of Flagstaff, and many reasons to volunteer - for specific events, to gain job experience, academic reasons, the list goes on.
  • City Boards/Commissions
  • Library - Please call (928) 213-2376
  • Police Department - Ask for the Volunteer Program Coordinator (928) 774-1414
  • Recreation - If you have a special interest or want to spend time volunteering with your family, contact Community Events, or pick up an application at the Flagstaff Aquaplex.
  • Would you like to help keep Flagstaff clean and beautiful? Keep trails, avenues, and open spaces clean through the Community Stewards Program.
  • Be a Graffiti Buster and help get rid of graffiti

Volunteers will need to complete a Form I-9 in the Human Resources Office, as well as the Non-Payroll Personnel form provided by the department. These forms will need to be completed AFTER a volunteer opportunity has been secured. In order to complete the I-9, you will need to bring appropriate identification; more information about acceptable forms of identification are available through the department or by contacting Human Resources at (928) 213-2090. Volunteers for certain departments may also be required to complete fingerprints at no charge to the volunteer. Volunteers must be age 15 or older.

Volunteers are important to us and we appreciate your interest!
