The Hazardous Products Center (HPC) provides the City of Flagstaff and Coconino County residents with a convenient, permanent, year-round facility for Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) that encompasses:
- Proper handling
- Storage
- Recycling or disposal

Additionally, the HPC provides a safe, affordable, and local option for businesses that qualify as a Conditionally Exempt Small Quantity Generator (CESQG) to participate in the Small Business Waste Program (SBWP). The SBWP allows us to:
- Offset transportation costs
- Combine wastes from multiple businesses
- Provide an economical solution to your hazardous wastes disposal needs
Business waste includes wastes from Landlords, Non-profits, Government Agencies and Schools. Business waste is handled by appointment only. If your business does not currently qualify to participate in the SBWP, other options may be available. Please call (928) 527-9005 for futher assistance.
Requirements for Usage
County residents must bring a Drivers License or valid state ID. Either must have a current County address listed
City of Flagstaff residents must bring a current water bill and a matching valid state ID
If you are a city resident and do not have a current water bill then you must bring two articles of mail and a valid state ID proving your City residency.
If proper ID is not shown to the Landfill Scale-House Staff or HPC Staff, waste may be rejected.

The HPC is closed: November 26-28, December 25-26 and January 1-2.
Note: Should the HPC ever be forced to close at an unannounced time, due to unforeseen circumstances such as a power outage, equipment malfunction, or some other incident beyond our control, notification will be posted as soon as possible.

Outreach and Education
The HPC offers facility tours and presentations to interested individuals, educational institutions, groups, organizations, clubs and businesses to increase hazardous waste education and awareness. Tours can also be inconjunction with the Cinder Lake Landfill.

Directions to the HPC
From Flagstaff:
- Drive north on Highway 89 about five miles past the Flagstaff Mall
- Continue past Silver Saddle Road 1mile, look for the green city sign on the right
- Turn right onto Landfill Road and continue to the end
- Follow the signs to the HPC
