Volunteer Opportunities

How can you benefit your community? Recreation Services is recruiting volunteers for a variety of positions. If you have a special interest or want to spend time volunteering with your family, contact Recreation Services at (928) 213-2300 to find a position that best fits your needs or pick up an application at the Aquaplex.


Volunteer Positions Available:

 * Small Business Health Fair
     >  5 volunteers are needed
     >  Date:  Friday, April 10, 2015
     >  Time:  5:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

Soar Into Spring Kite Festival
      >  Volunteers are needed for set-up, tear down, crafts, and festival games
      >  Date:  Saturday, May 16, 2015
      >  Times Needed:
           -  Set-up:  9:00 - 11:00 a.m. (must be able to lift 20 lbs).  Bring work gloves and wear closed toe shoes
           -  Event:  11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m., help run carnival games and crafts
           -  Tear Down:  3:00 - 6:00 p.m. (must be able to lift 20 lbs).  Bring work gloves and wear closed toe shoes

 * Concerts in the Park
      >  Volunteers needed for set-up and tear down
      >  Date:  Wednesday's in June and July 2015
      >  Times Needed:
           -  Set-up:  4:30 - 5:30 p.m. (must be able to lift 20 lbs).  Bring work gloves and wear closed toe shoes
           -  Tear Down:  7:30 - 8:30 p.m. (must be able to lift 20 lbs).  Bring work gloves and wear closed toe shoes

 *  Children's Music and Arts Festival
      >  Volunteers needed for set-up, tear down, and painting & crafts
      >  Date:  Saturday, August 15th, 2015
      >  Times Needed:
           -  Set-up:  8:00 - 10:00 a.m. (must be able to lift 20 lbs).  Bring work gloves and wear closed toe shoes
           -  Event:  10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m., help with painting and crafts
           -  Tear Down:  2:00 - 4:00 p.m. (must be able to lift 20 lbs).  Bring work gloves and wear closed toe shoes

      >  Volunteers needed for set-up, tear down, and carnival games

           -  Set-up:  10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. (must be able to lift 20 lbs).  Bring work gloves and wear closed toe shoes
           -  Event:  4:00 - 7:00 p.m., help run carnival games
           -  Tear Down:  7:00 - 9:00 p.m. (must be able to lift 20 lbs).  Bring work gloves and wear closed toe shoes
