2013 Earth Day
Flagstaff Earth Day 2013
Earth Day 2013 was a huge success! The event kicked off with a successful community service filled-morning with 150 volunteers contributing 300 service hours to clean up 60 bags of litter. The afternoon event attracted over 1,600 attendees and 60 local organizations and vendors. Earth Day 2013 featured live performances from the Anam Cara Dixon Trio, Capoeira Amizade, Sambatuque, and Viola and the Brakemen. Sachmo's provided great local food and there were six free resourcefulness workshops including rainwater harvesting, bicycle safety and maintenance, worm composting, building better soil, pollinators, and foraging. 36 car seats were recycled and 15,132 lbs of electronic waste was recycled.
