City staff has proposed creating a Property Care Ordinance (PCO) that not only addresses life, health and safety issues, but also speaks to broader goals such as investing and preserving existing housing stock, slowing gentrification and providing resources to property owners. Important Updates
New Hospital Location
The City of Flagstaff Community Development Division has accepted development review applications for the relocation of the Northern Arizona Healthcare Hospital facilities from its current location north of downtown Flagstaff to vacant parcels north of Fort Tuthill. The development review applications include the following:
- A Zoning Map Amendment request to rezone the property from Rural Residential to a combination of Highway Commercial and Research and Development,
- A Specific Plan to guide both the rezoning case as well as create development standards for the property.
These development applications require public hearings before the Planning & Zoning Commission and City Council. Planning & Zoning Commission Hearings are scheduled for March 22, 2023, 4:00PM at City Hall, Council Chambers and April 12, 2023, 4:00PM at City of Flagstaff, Aquaplex, Community Room. Public Hearings with City Council have not yet been scheduled.
