2018 Campaign Finance Reports
Title 16, Chapter 6, of the Arizona Revised Statutes requires candidates and other political committees to file regular campaign finance reports during an election cycle. The purpose of campaign finance reports is to provide information to the public about campaign contributions and expenditures relating to election matters.
With changes made to statutes in 2016, "election cycle" is defined as the two-year period beginning on the first day of the calendar quarter after the calendar quarter in which the city's second runoff or general election is scheduled, and ending on the last day of the calendar quarter in which the city's immediately-following second, runoff or general election is scheduled. It is no longer tied to the term of office. The 2018 election cycle began on January 1, 2017, and ends on December 31, 2018.
