Inviting all community members and artists, emerging or established, to enliven Flagstaff's public spaces through art and beautification! From community gardens to downtown sculptures, City staff are excited to help bring your ideas to life through several opportunities listed below. Beautification in Action Grants
The City of Flagstaff offers a mini-grant program for streetscape art and beautification, such as landscape projects. Grants of up to $4,500 are available. Applications will be accepted on bi-annual deadlines, March 15 and September 27 at 5:00 p.m. You can find the grant application near the end of the Beautification in Action Application & Guidelines Packet.
Historic Southside Community Garden Project
Artists and creatives — especially those who live in or have close ties to the Southside neighborhood area — are invited to apply for a $15,000 creative placemaking project at the Historic Southside Community Garden (formerly the O'Leary Street Community Garden). Local nonprofit organizations are supported by the City in their efforts to enrich the lives of our community and our visitors through quality arts, cultural and science programs. Grant funding is provided via contractor through flow-through funding, and overseen by program staff. Information on Arts & Sciences grants can be obtained at the Creative Flagstaff site.
