B.Y.O (Bring Your Own)
Do you B.Y.O. (Bring Your Own)? Many businesses in Flagstaff will allow you to use your own bottle, mugs, jars, & other reusable containers when you're on the go.
Join the many Flagstaff residents who B.Y.O and check out our page dedicated to Bring your Own materials that can assist with the reduction of waste and diversion from the landfill to help reach our ReThink Waste goals. Each of our Sustainability staff members will be featured throughout the spring with their favorite items to help inspire you.
Trash Less, Save More!
From fall 2021 - winter 2022 the Sustainability Office and Solid Waste departments piloted a volumetric pricing trash service in a neighborhood in Flagstaff to measure viability for the rest of the city. Volumetric pricing treats trash service like a utility by charging less for producing less trash. Learn more here.
Coming soon! Local businesses will have the opportunity to sign up for a free waste assessment carried out by Sustainability staff in order to determine current waste streams and ways to reduce waste and save money.
