[ARCHIVED] APS Projects in University Heights

APS currently has two reliability projects underway in the University Heights neighborhood. Both projects are replacing aging underground cable with cable in conduit. The projects will improve reliability for customers within the neighborhood and provide additional electrical load capacity in the neighborhood. The projects will continue through the summer and into early fall – project timelines can be impacted by digging conditions, weather and other factors.

Typical work hours for the projects are Monday through Friday, beginning between 7 and 8 a.m. and ending between 5 and 6 p.m. Traffic detours will be needed occasionally along the project routes and open trenching may be required to complete the projects. Trenches will be covered for safety when crews are not working.

For questions about these projects, please contact one of the following APS employees:

  • Janet Dean, Public Affairs Manager, 928-853-1584
  • Kara Van Hemert, Project Manager, 928-853-6260
  • Brenda Carter, Construction Maintenance Supervisor, 928-853-6178
