Biography:
 
 Miranda Sweet was elected to a four-year term on the Flagstaff City Council in November 2020.
  Before being elected to Council, Miranda served on the Flagstaff Airport Commission. 


Education:

Miranda earned a degree in elementary education from Northern Arizona University and spent years working in the Flagstaff Unified School District. 


 Background:

Miranda has lived in Flagstaff for 27 years and has served in various capacities in the Flagstaff Community.  Miranda went through the Flagstaff Leadership Program and served on the FLP Board of Directors for 6 years.  Miranda continued her passion for education while her two boys attended Puente de Hozho’ and held several roles including PTO President, as well as being a co-founder of the PDH running club. 

Career:

Miranda has owned and operated Rainbow’s End, a women’s clothing boutique, in the heart of downtown for 20 plus years.  Miranda has a passion for supporting local business and has continued to be involved in the Downtown Business Alliance.  Miranda worked at the Flagstaff Birth and Women’s Center as the Community Outreach Coordinator and currently resides on the Board of Directors for the Arizona Women’s Film Festival.

Flagstaff is a special place to call home.  I am dedicated to listening to your concerns and will work to address what lies ahead for Flagstaff with thought and intent.  I have listened to your concerns for several years and I hear you.  I will strive to engage our community and look forward to representing the people of Flagstaff.
